It's hard not to think about the tragic fire in Lahaina so I included a link to the Red Cross in case you'd like to donate to relief efforts. With smoke and fires settling into OR, CA, WA and elsewhere, it's a reminder to be fire ready in and around our homes. Now onto brighter things with the impressive scope of Bend's Park & Rec projects, home price upward trends, a fabulous agent joining Avenir, and upcoming events offered to Avenir Realty clients, friends & family.

Cumulative Monthly Home Price Changes Relative to the Prior Peak
After hitting rock bottom in early 2011, prices have steadily climbed with just a few blips which coincide with mortgage rate increases. Nationwide, prices are on track to appreciate 5.8% in 2023* and with Bend's lack of inventory and continued demand I feel we'll see a higher average price increase.

Your Questions, Answered:
Q: Is Bend expanding so much it's at risk of urban sprawl?
A: Bend follows Oregon's strict Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) mandates to grow up before growing out, and it took over 10 years to get approval to expand into new buildable land. Other zoning changes include greater flexibility to add ADUs or multiplex units within previous single family home-only zoning (RS), so this helps accommodate our increasing population without urban sprawl into the forests.
Q: Send me your questions and as always I'm happy to provide you more detailed responses via email or a phone call!
I'm so excited to introduce Traci Engel, the newest Broker at Avenir Realty. Traci has a very impressive background as a paralegal in Southern CA, then relocated to Central Oregon where she's been advocating for clients as a Realtor for over 15 years. She's also managed HOA and Design Review Boards in many communities in Bend, so she truly has a breadth of knowledge to serve clients well.
