With a knack for using systems to streamline processes for both clients and consumers, Stephen has nearly a decade of experience creating technology, including for the real estate industry. He was actually the very first engineer for Side, recently named one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Companies.

His background in marketing strategy helps him understand how to reach a market, and his experience with account management and complex sales helps qualify him to delight clients through the real estate transaction process.

To Stephen, doing his job well means first and foremost that he deeply cares about providing high touch service to people; that he is plugged into his community, understanding market trends, local culture, and helping people connect. “I get the lucky job of understanding the people around me and helping them live their best lives as a local real estate expert.”

While he has traveled around the country and the world - living for years in Colombia and in China - Stephen says he ultimately had to settle in the Pacific Northwest. “There’s just no place like it.”

He and his wife, Hilary, make their home in Sisters, OR, which he describes as “a lovely, artsy town at the base of the Three Sisters Mountains and nestled in the heart of Oregon.” He takes pride that Sisters is where he is choosing to lay roots and has taken a “community enthusiast” role, creating a website highlighting the local area and giving members of the community a voice.

In addition to twin girls and stepson, there are two fur-balls in the family: a troublemaking feline named Geppetto and Joey, an Australian doodle puppy. In his free time, Stephen loves to get silly with his kids, meditate and go deep with tantric yoga, relax at an area hot springs, or explore the outdoors in boots, on a bike, or on skis.
